Ashford Town (Middlesex) FC are delighted to announce that local sportswear manufacturer D&M Sports have agreed to sponsor the club and will be providing new, bespoke home and change kits for both the First and Reserve Teams. The deal is worth up to £5,000 per annum to the club over three years. D&M Sports are based in Station Parade, in the heart of Ashford and manufacture a wide range of match and training kit, including to a number of local football clubs. The home kit is similar to last season's strip, retaining all of the basic elements, including the white socks. However, a significant change is the removal of the white trim on both the shirt and shorts in favour of conventional stripes on the shirt and tangerine trim on the shorts. The change kit will again feature blue shirts and socks, but in a major change, the shorts will be white. Both the shirts and shorts will feature tangerine trim. The goalkeepers will have a choice of shirts this season, with pink, yellow and green jerseys available. Assistant Secretary Gareth Coates, who assisted D&M with the design, said: "We are delighted to be in partnership with D&M Sports, whose range is a superb blend of the classic and the modern. It is fantastic to be working with a local firm, who will make us the best turned out team in the Central Division! It is important that we respect the traditions of the club, so there was never any prospect of moving away from our famous striped shirts. However, we wanted to ensure we could show our true colours as often as possible, which is why the shorts in the change kit will be white. No longer will we have to wear a complete change of strip when only our shorts clash - they are designed to be interchangeable." For the first time, both the home and away kits will be available to supporters as replicas, as will other kit and sportswear items, which will be added to the club's website over the coming days and weeks. The designs of the new strips are available to download below and will each open in a new window:
