Ashford Town will start their 2008-09 Ryman League Premier Division campaign away to Hastings United.  The Tangerines then have two home matches to follow this long trip, against Wealdstone on Tuesday August 19th, then entertaining Tooting & Mitcham United on August 23rd.

The August Bank Holiday sees Ashford travel to Hendon, while in a widely expected reversal of last season's matches we will travel to Staines Town on Saturday 27th December and entertain our neighbours on Easter Monday, 13th April 2009.  Oddly, having started the campaign with a long away trip, we shall end it with one too - away at Ramsgate on April 25th 2009.

Overall, the fixture list could be described at this stage as fairly benign, given that we travel to Canvey Island, Dover Athletic, Dartford, Harlow Town, Horsham, Maidstone United and Tonbridge Angels on Saturdays, although we do have to go to Harrow Borough, Heybridge Swifts and Boreham Wood in midweek.  Harlow Town and Tonbridge Angels are unlikely to be overjoyed at the prospect of visiting Short Lane on Tuesday nights, although it must be remembered that cup competitions and the weather will force any number of changes to the fixtures in the coming months.
