The draws for the early stages of the FA Competitions have been released and Ashford face familiar opposition in the majority of their ties.
In the Preliminary Round of The FA Cup with Budweiser, the Ash Trees have been drawn away to Burnham. This match will be at The Gore on 3rd September. The winners of that tie face another all Central Division tie, at home to Chalfont St Peter or Aylesbury. In the Preliminary Round of The FA Carlsberg Trophy, the Ash Trees have been drawn at home to Maidstone United of the Ryman League Division One South, in a match that will take place on Saturday 8th October.Should Ashford progress through that match, they will be on the road, heading to St Albans City, who were relegated into the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division last season. In The FA Youth Cup, the Teenage Tangerines enter at the Preliminary Round stage and will entertain Cockfosters. Ben Murray’s team would remain at home in the First Qualifying Round, facing Harefield United in the competition for the third time in four seasons. The Hares eliminated Ashford from the competition last season. Should Ashford remain in the competition at the Second Qualifying Round stage they would be at home to one of Uxbridge, Kentish Town, Enfield Town or North Greenford United.
