The draw for the Middlesex Premier Cup has been released and the restructuring of the tournament has thrown up a Spelthorne Derby to seriously test Ashford Town's Suburban Team, who have reached the Final of this Cup for each of the past two seasons.

The club will be at home to Staines Lammas in Round Two of the tournament, in a tie to be played on Tuesday 18th November.  In recent years, the competition has been restricted to the Reserve sides of Senior Clubs.  However, for this season, First Teams of certain clubs (specifically, those who play in the Combined Counties League Division One or equivalent) have been included, along with Park View FC - winners of the Intermediate Cup.  However, there are some notable absentees - most notably Feltham, who do not appear to have entered any county competitions.

Should Ashford triumph over their friends and neighbours from Lammas, they would be at home again in the Quarter Final, to the Reserve side of either Harrow Borough or Uxbridge in a tie to be played in early 2009.
