Leading scorer Byron Harrison was the big winner at the Club's Annual Presentation Dinner and Dance, scooping the Player of the Year award and the Supporters' Player of the Year trophy.
Players' Player of the Year was won by Scott Harris while the Reserve Team Player of the Year was Martin Jackson and Youth Team Player of the Year went to Samad Kazi. The final award of the evening was Clubman of the Year, which went to Mark Davis, whose enthusiasm for the club and work in all areas made his the overwhelming choice and an exceptionally popular winner. Mark has asked the Official Website to pass on his thanks to everyone who voted for him and to the players for a fantastic season. After the individual awards, Junior Liaison Officer Ben Murray was presented with the Surrey Youth League Invitation Cup on behalf of the Under 14s, and the Southern Youth League West Division Championship Trophy in his role as Youth Team Assistant Manager. Mark Butler then received the Surrey Senior Cup from Chairman Bob Parker. The Chairman also took a moment to thank Paul Burgess, Pat Munns and Mick Snowden, all stalwarts of the Club who are retiring. Pat in particular has "earned" his break, given that he has been with the Club in various roles since 1967, while Mick Snowden's association with Ashford Town lasts almost as long. Paul Burgess needs no introduction, having made 651 appearances for the First Team in a nineteen-year career that began in the Combined Counties League with a clean sheet and ended with a clean sheet, at Ramsgate. During the summer, an Appreciation Evening will be held to honour all three at the Club, where full tribute will be paid to these three remarkable gentlemen.
