The club can confirm that neither Ricky Wellard nor Anthony Joseph have left the club as yet. The club can confirm that, having rejected an initial offer from AFC Wimbledon for Wellard's registration, an improved offer has been received. However, the finer details have yet to be resolved and the two clubs are working closely to deal with the outstanding issues. If and when that has been done, it is down to "Bones" to agree personal terms, with Manager Mark Butler observing: "Wimbledon have done everything by the book. There are a few boxes that need to be ticked between the clubs and once that is done, it's down to Ricky. He's under no pressure to leave - we'd be delighted to keep him, but at the same time we'd be equally delighted to help him push on." Similarly, despite media reports to the contrary, flying winger Anthony Joseph has not signed for Sutton United. As Joseph was not under contract at the end of the season, Sutton were perfectly entitled to make an approach and "AJ" has confirmed that he has received an invitation to join United's pre-season training sessions, as well as a verbal offer of terms. However, this verbal offer has yet to be followed up and the popular forward has also received an offer from Ashford. Negotiations are continuing.
