Manager Mark Butler intends to split his squad over the next two matches and will send strong teams to both Fleet Spurs this evening and to Bedfont Green tomorrow. He is likely to repeat this procedure on Saturday with one team at home to Ashford Town from Kent and one team away to newly promoted Hanworth Villa.
Amongst the players travelling to Fleet this evening are both Ivo Ginev and Malchi Bulley, along with regulars Vinnie O’Sullivan, Gavin Smith and Adam Logie. Nathan Turner and George Baldock are likely to start up front whilst the squad will see further newcomers, including a goalkeeper.
Tomorrow at Bedfont Green, Craig Ross will be between the sticks and the defence wil look strong with the likes of Billy Jeffreys, Brett Cooper, Russell Canderton, Ricardo Joseph and the impressive Hone Fowler all on the squad list. Adam Logie will be there again, along with Warren Harris, Scott Weight and Paul Johnson all available in midfield whilst up front the likely starters are Byron Harrison and Scott Harris. There will also be additional new triallists.
The squads for Saturday will doubtless be released once both the midweek matches have been completed.
For anyone travelling to Fleet this evening, it is suggested that they should assume the match will start at 7.00 p.m. at the latest as a 7.15 p.m. start without lights will surely be too late, even though that appears to be the official time.
