Our popular club captain Paul Johnson, who demonstrated his worth to Ashford on Saturday with an absolute screamer of a goal against Hastings, has today confirmed he will be staying with the Club for the foreseeable future.
Following Mark Butler’s departure, Paul has been courted by more than one club but speaking to Club secretary Alan Constable today he said “I love it the Club and I am staying here. I hope that all our other players will do the same.” Paul will hopefully now go on to reach the next milestone in his Ashford career which will be to notch up 250 1st team appearances since joining from Staines Town in 2003.
