Ashford Town recovered from conceding two early goals to edge out Billericay Town in stoppage time this afternoon. The home side were poor at the back early on and went a goal down in just the second minute, Lee Kersley scoring from a throw that eluded the defence. The hosts almost levelled immediately, Paul Johnson side-footing wide, but it was the Blues who scored the games next goal, when Danny Green broke the offside trap and headed home a fantastic cross. The Tangerines got back into the game midway through the first half, Jamie England marking his full debut with a goal. The confidence flowed back into the side and Byron Harrison levelled the match in the 38th minute. The home side looked the better team during the second half but Billericay were resolute in defence whilst also threatening on the break. When Paul Johnson hit the post from 25 yards, it looked as if Jamie Lawrence's side would have to be content with a point, but Ashford continued to press and were eventually rewarded in the second minute of stoppage time when Warren Harris scored a dramatic late winner. A full report will follow from Terry Ryan.
