Byron goes on trial...

As has been reported elsewhere, striker Byron Harrison has been offered a trial with Coca-Cola League One side Southend United and is expected to play for their Reserve Team tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd) against Colchester United at Roots Hall.

Although it would obviously be a blow to the club were Byron to sign for the Shrimpers, we would never prevent any of our players from moving on, as long as the club's rights were respected.

Everyone at Short Lane wishes Byron every success tomorrow and any further developments will be announced.
