Ashford Town (Middlesex) were denied all three points by a stoppage time penalty this afternoon. Both the Ash Trees and Bognor Regis Town played some good passing football and it was the Ash Trees who took the lead in the 32nd minute after a good passing move allowed Davis Haule to slot in from a tight angle. The Rocks did not lose heart and levelled in the 39th minute when Luke Nightingale finished smartly. The second half ebbed and flowed but the home side gradually got on top of the match, eventually taking the lead when the diminutive Warren Harris (pictured) headed home from a long throw by Russell Canderton. Ashford had two good penalty appeals turned down as well as other chances to kill the game off, with Paul Johnson hitting the post, but Bognor were never out of the game and were awarded an injury time penalty for a foul by the otherwise impressive Femi Ilesanmi, which was converted with aplomb by Nightingale. The point does little for either side, with Ashford remaining in seventh and Bognor staying second from bottom.
