It is good that Ashford have a midweek match to hopefully get Saturday’s turgid affair out of mind.  The match is on Tuesday evening when the Tangerines travel to Cobham FC to play against their tenants, Mole Valley SCR, who incidentally, are changing their name to Sutton Common Rovers next season.

Mole Valley have also endured some indifferent form lately with just one league win from their last nine outings and on Saturday, they fared a goal worse than Ashford, losing by 4 goals to nil at the hands of Knaphill FC.  They were a fairly lively bunch at Short Lane earlier in the season though, despite losing 1-3, and no matches can be taken lightly in this league, as is evidenced by one or two of Ashford’s results against some of the lower placed teams in recent weeks.

Two ex-Ashford players may be turning out for Mole Valley.  Kieran Wright left us earlier this season when Ashford supporters were quite disappointed to see him depart, whilst the other is Arafat Kabuye, who you may remember came on as a sub up at Bedworth United in his only match for the club back in August 2010..

Kick-off is 7.45 p.m. and the address of the ground is Cobham FC, Leg of Mutton Field, Downside Bridge Road, Cobham, KT11 1AA.  There is a small car park available and it should also be possible to park on the lane leading up to the ground.

The Under-18’s are also in action this week and will welcome Hampton & Richmond to Short Lane on Wednesday evening, kicking off at 7.45 p.m.
