With all games passed fit to play after a dreadful two weeks of weather we were finally able to get some games on at the club last Sunday.

Nelsons under 10s put on a fine display by beating local lads Hanworth in a convincing 8-1 win, very proud of the lads as they were newly formed this season and are now starting to click.

Next up Matts under 8s gave all supporters a fantastic match to watch beating Sheen Lions 10-8, after going behind by 2 quick goals the lads found their feet and quickly regained the lead and eventually took control, 18 goals in 40 minutes of football see our lads take all three points.

Matts under 9s was for me the game of the day, end to end stuff with some real quality football on display, we were all on the edge of our seat throughout the match as this could have gone either way, such a tight and nervous game which eventually see us take all three points after scoring a late goal to make the game finish 4-3, credit to both sides for putting on such an entertaining match.

On the same pitch see Grahams under 10s progress into the semi-final of the league cup by beating local side Spelthorne Sports by the same score line 4-3, fantastic advert once again for junior football, well done to Graham and his boys.

Tommy’s under 7s entertained Bedfont Eagles in another fast paced entertaining game, Bedfont came away with the win, at under 7s the score line is the least important thing, progression, enjoyment and development is what we look at, and watching our young lads play I can see that the team and Tommy as a young coach is improving week by week.

Conors under 15s were knocked out of the county cup at the quarter final stage by 3 goals to 1. After the match was abandoned last week due to an unplayable pitch the team made their way to Wembley again to get the fixture played, with 8 minutes on the clock the score was 1-1 but after conceding two late goals we were eventually knocked out. It was a fantastic achievement from our lads to reach this stage of the competition and as a club we are very proud of them, we wish Wembley all the luck in the semi-final.

A huge congratulations to Will and our Ladies side who have been confirmed champions of their league, well done to all involved, we also welcome Neil and his new under 7s to our club who will be playing their first fixture this Sunday as young Tangerines.
