It’s match day again and this afternoon Ashford entertain Kidlington FC as we return to league action.  Without repeating ourselves, Kidlington were one of the best teams we faced last season, deservedly knocking us out of the FA Vase and it is a surprise to see that they have made a poor start to their Evostick campaign, even to the extent where their very successful manager has left the club, leaving the experienced Jermain McSporran in temporary charge.

We are under no illusions though and expect a tough match, although Ben Murray will have close to a full squad to select from, the only known absentees being Samad Kazi, away, and Tyler Tobin, out for a few weeks following his fall from a ladder.

It is disappointing to result that the Under-18’s sent out of the FA Youth Cup on Thursday, losing 2-5 at Potters Bar Town but the Ladies last Sunday got their season up and running with an opening day league win over Surrey Eagles by three goals to one.  The girls are at home again tomorrow when the visitors for a Greater London League match will be Balham Panthers, kick-off 2.00 p.m.
