It was all smiles for Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies Football Club yesterday afternoon as the Greater London Division 2 (South) champions came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 and record a historic treble.

Battersea & Hammersmith went ahead in the first fifteen minutes after pouncing on a loose ball in the penalty box. They scored their second shortly after when a flick eluded the back four and the Battersea & Hammersmith forward struck on the half volley.

The Tangerines began to find their feet and just before the half time whistle, top goalscorer Lavana Neufville popped up and headed in Vicky James' corner.

H/T: 1-2

Ashford came out in the second half with an extra spring in their step and before they knew it Neufville got her second of the game.

The Tangerines were in the driving seat and continued to create opportunities at will.

Ashford completed the remarkable come back when Beth Sheehan lobbed the goalkeeper from close range.

F/T: 3-2

This victory capped off a treble winning season for Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies winning the GLWFL Division 2 (South), County Cup & League Cup.
