Bedfont Sports ResAshford completed a successful midweek on Wednesday evening when Mick Snowden’s Suburban League side defeated neighbours Bedfont Sports by three goals to one.

In a match of two very different halves, Bedfont, who included ex-Ashford players Gavin Bamford and Steve Baker in their line-up, held sway in the first half and deservedly went in front.  For no obvious reason the match changed in the second period with Ashford taking their turn to get on top, especially once Jim Mann had forcefully headed home the equaliser.  Duane Critchlow quickly made it two and Tom Mooney ensured the three points when he finished off a good move to make it three.

The Suburban side are next in action on Saturday, when they travel to Barton Rovers.
