It is yet another busy midweek with all three of the Club’s senior sides in action.

This evening (Monday) the Under-18’s get the week rolling with a home match in the Ryman Youth League against their counterparts from Hampton & Richmond FC.  Kick-off is at 7.45 p.m.  Ashford’s last three matches have seen wins by seven goals to three and by six goals to three and a defeat by four goals to nil, so it would be reasonable to expect goals in this game!

On Tuesday, a 1st Team squad will make the short journey to neighbours Hanworth Villa in the much delayed 1st Round of the Middlesex Help for Heroes Charity Cup, Ashford, of course, being the current holders of the trophy.  Hanworth Villa are doing well in the Combined Counties and are one of only two clubs left in the FA Vase, in which they will be travelling to meet Walsall Wood FC on 19 January.  The address of the ground is Rectory Meadows, Park Road, Hounslow Road, Hanworth, TW13 6PN.  To reach the large car park, travel to the extremity of Park Road and follow the path to the car park.  Kick-off is 7.30 p.m.  The winners will be at home to Cockfosters FC in the 2nd Round of the competition.  The rules of the competition are a little unusual incidentally in that if the scores are level after 90 minutes, the match goes straight to penalties, rather than extra time.

Completing the week’s fixtures on Wednesday will be the Suburban side, who entertain Harefield United in a league match.  Harefield are currently in second place in the table with a seven point advantage over Ashford, albeit that they have played two additional matches.  Kick-off is 7.45 p.m.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Ladies fought out a 2-2 draw away to Clapham Rovers to keep their unbeaten run going.  This coming Sunday they will be back at Short Lane, entertaining Northwood Ladies.
