Godalming TownIt was almost 13 years ago to the day on 11 February 2000 that Ashford last visited Godalming for a competitive match.  On that occasion they won by three goals to one thanks to goals from Richard McDonald, Lee Holman and Tony Nolan but face a tough task tomorrow against a Godalming side, choc-a-bloc with ex-Ashford players, leading the league, with just one home defeat all season.

Tuesday’s postponement at Fleet was frustrating but it has at least allowed a little more time for one of the two players nursing injuries to recover.  Prior to the two recent defeats at Rugby and Biggleswade, Ashford had remained unbeaten in the League for seven games stretching back, in fact, to the home match against Godalming in November, in which late goals saw Ashford crashing to a heavy defeat.  Some of the form shown during those seven matches will be required if anything is to be taken from tomorrow’s game.

The address of the ground is Wey Court, Meadrow, Godalming, GU7 3JE.  There is a miniscule car park so it will be best to park in the public car park just a matter of yards from the ground.

There is no match for the Suburban side tomorrow but on Sunday the Ladies are away to QPR in a very tough cup match.
