Saturday’s match sees a trip to Aylesbury FC, with both sides in need of points to get away from the wrong end of the table.

The transition in Ashford’s team continues, with Mark Bitmead and Rob Curtis now off to Australia for a year.  They fly out on Monday next week and we wish them a safe journey and an enjoyable time until they return next year.  Manager Paul Burgess continues to be busy signing new players, the latest recruit being Queem Sotonwa.  Queem has arrived from Staines Town and is a young and powerful central defender standing some 6 feet 3, and he is likely to go straight into the squad for Saturday.

The address of Aylesbury’s ground is The Affinity Stadium, Haywood Way, Aylesbury, HP19 9WZ and kick-off is, as usual, at 3.00 p.m.

The Suburban side are also away tomorrow at Farnham Town, a ground that holds some memories for Ashford, as it was at this ground that Ashford celebrated clinching one of five Combined Counties League titles throughout the nineties. This will be the first visit by an Ashford team since 1999.
