Firstly this evening’s Suburban League match at home to Camberley Town Res remains on at the moment.   The match referee, Mr. Belcher wishes to conduct his own inspection and will hopefully be at the ground by 5.00 pm.  As soon as he has made his decision we will advise on here.  It may be necessary to slightly delay the kick-off as obviously our visitors do not want to travel in vain.

The next drama comes tomorrow evening when Harefield United are due to visit for a quarter final match in the Middlesex Senior Cup, kick-off 7.45 p.m.  We want to get it on of we can but it will all depend upon tomorrow’s match.

It is a busy day as sadly ex-Ashford player Ray Bridges will be laid to rest at Hanworth Crematorium, at 2.00 p.m.  All ex-Ashford players and friends who may be attending are very welcome to come back to the Club afterwards.

Also tomorrow evening Ashford stalwarts Bob Parker and Alan Constable are due be honoured by the Football Association with an award marking 50 years service, the award to be presented by Peter Clayton Chief Executive of Middlesex FA.  Whether or not Alan can actually make it is doubtful at present as he is close to being flooded in with no route into Staines from his home and the other way into Chertsey going that way.  Time will tell!
