The Annual General Meeting of Ashford Town (Middlesex) Football Club Limited will take place in Ernie’s Bar tomorrow evening, Thursday 15th May. Everyone with an interest in the club is warmly invited to attend, but only Full Members may vote on matters to be decided by ballot.

It would be fair to say that the season just concluded has been a difficult one, both on and off the field, but despite finishing in a relegation position, there are several positives to take from the last twelve months, as can be seen from the documentation which can be downloaded from the links below. Highlights from the reports include the posting of a very small trading profit for the third year in succession, an overall reduction in the club’s historic debt and the sterling work undertaken by the Bar and Facilities Team, who have done a huge amount of work with scant resources.

At tomorrow’s meeting, the Board and Committee for the coming season will be elected, the nominations are listed within the file available for download below.

The majority of the existing Board and Committee have indicated their willingness to continue in post and are nominated for re-election. The elections will exclude certain posts where expertise or specific qualifications are a prerequisite, including the positions of Welfare Officer, Press Officer, Bar Manager and Website Manager. If any changes to these roles become necessary, the new Board and Committee will make the relevant appointments.

The Board have also proposed that two stalwart volunteers be elected as Vice-Presidents in recognition of their service to the club.

We hope to see as many people as possible at what should be a very interesting meeting.
