Ashford Town's Under-18 team battled to a hard-earned 2-1 win over Sandhurst Town. The Fizzers, playing their first competitive match of the season, took an early lead and almost held on to it until half time, only for Dwayne Lowe-Simms to send the Ash Trees in for tea level.
Ashford dominated the second half but their youthful squad, which contained nine first year players, struggled to find a way past visiting goalkeeper Butler until Lowe-Simms hit a late winner to secure the points. Mick Snowden's match report is here.
