A final update on the players 2000 miles for £2000 challenge.
31st March brought to an end the players challenge of 2000 miles for £2000. Raising funds towards the repairs from the recent vandalism at the Robert Parker Stadium. And in the end everyone smashed it! On the last count everyone had covered a total of 2000.52 miles, and raised £2210.00 at the time of writing. There is still some time to donate though if you haven’t already!
It has been an amazing effort from all of the players and coaches across our first and women’s teams. And the generosity of everyone in their support of this challenge has been superb. It has also been a great way to get the legs moving ready for the upcoming games. Especially the upcoming Middlesex Senior Cup against CB Hounslow.
About The Challenge
As you know the club fell victim to vanadlism over recent weeks. With a lot of damage to our fencing, dugouts, and seating, around the RPS. First team goalkeeper Paul McCarthy along with his fellow players decided to take on the challenge to raise some money to help towards the repairs. It’s been hard going for some but they have put in such a great effort in support of the club, and we are all massively grateful for all of their hard work.
Support The Challenge
