This week we launched our crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to help us survive the COVID-19 lockdown crisis.

After launching our page on JustGiving Tuesday morning we were blown away by the response within the first 24hrs alone. It’s truly amazing to see the kindness and generosity from our fantastic fans, community, and the wider football family. Current and past players, our volunteers, everyone. Thank you so much!

It wasn’t a decision we took lightly, and had been discussed numerous times over the past couple of weeks. However, with the current season now cancelled, and the loss of our remaining first team home games, the club finds itself in a difficult and unprecedented situation. We need to raise funds to carry us through the end of this season and into the summer. To help us keep and support all of our teams beyond the lockdown. There are big plans at the club for the future, and with over 400 junior players across our youth section, plus our Under 18’s, and senior men’s and women’s teams, we are looking to continue offering local football and further develop our standing within the community. Along with the recent and planned developments at the RPS we are very much looking to the future after the lockdown. And this crowdfunder will go a long way to helping us keep the club alive. So thank you!

As our crowdfunder page explains we will be donatating 10% of whatever we raise to our local NHS charities. We will also be offering free season tickets to any NHS and carehome workers next season.

After a great start we still have a way to go to our final target of £5000. Any help is really appreciated, even if just spreading the word and sharing our JustGiving link – You can also click to go through and donate now.

Thank you so much again for your kindness and support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the RPS as soon as it’s safe to do so. Stay safe.
