Our newly established Veterans Team are in action for the first time this season on Sunday 26 July and the match promises to be a very special occasion. The squad take on England Veterans and their fi at the Robert Parker Stadium in a charity match supporting the club’s Charity Partner, Holly’s Heroes.
Kick-off is 11:00am and admission is just £5.00 for adults with all proceeds going to Holly’s Heroes, a local organisation whose mission is to provide children under 16 battling cancer with joyful experiences – from thrilling theatre trips to exciting visits to theme parks and zoos, ensuring that every child’s unique dreams are fulfilled. The gate receipts from the Men’s First Team’s pre-season match against Chertsey Town were donated to the charity, topped up by a generous donation by the Curfews Chairman. Our hope is that a significant additional amount can be raised this weekend whilst getting the new Veterans Team off to a flying start.
The side will compete in Division Four of the West London Veterans Football League and their full fixture list is now on the website. Why not come down on Sunday to see them in action whilst also supporting a fantastic cause?
