Combined Counties League 2014-16
Ashford Town (Middlesex) FC’s second spell in the Combined Counties League began in 2014, following relegation from the Southern League. A return to more local competition helped to reinvigorate the club, although the Championship was to prove elusive for the Ash Trees thanks to Molesey and Hartley Wintney, both of whom built outstanding squads. However, the Tangerines were also at the top end of the table, finishing third in 2014-15 and second in 2015-16. This runners-up position secured a return to the Central Division of the Southern League, due to Hartley Wintney’s ground improvements being incomplete.
