The Men’s First Team have been drawn at home to Hendon in the First Round of the Isthmian League Cup. The match will be played on Tuesday 8 September, kicking off at 7:45pm.
These days, the competition is formally known as the Alan Turvey Cup sponsored by Velocity after being dedicated to the late former Chairman of the League. Both Ashford and Hendon are former winners of the trophy; Ashford memorably claimed the cup with a 4-1 win over Dover Athletic at Bromley on 4 April 2007 while Hendon have lifted the trophy twice – in 1976-77 and 2014-15 and were finalists in 1986-87.
The winners of the match will then be away to either Cobham or Peacehaven & Telscombe, with that tie to be played by the second week in October.
