The club’s second spell in the Isthmian League, after two years in the Southern League, represented a genuine highpoint in its history. For the first time, Ashford Town (Middlesex) was at Step 3 of the National League System. The first three seasons saw trophies won and thrilling FA Cup runs before a managerial change and financial pressure saw the club relegated to the Central Division of the Southern League.
