Ashford find themselves travelling to Bracknell Town on this final day of the league season, although they still have the Middlesex Charity Cup Final to look forward to on Tuesday 7 May.
The Tangerines are currently in 11th place in the table and whatever the result could only move up or down by one position. Bracknell, on the other hand, although assured of a place in the play-offs, need a win to clinch second place and the home advantage that comes with it. The portents are good for them, in that they inflicted Ashford’s heaviest home defeat of the season, the Tangerines are struggling to an extent with key players on the injured list and Bracknell have not lost a single home league match all season on their home 3G pitch.
That said, Ashford have managed to win three out of their last four matches in all competitions and we have had one or two returning players in the ranks just recently which has made a difference. Neither will the team lack motivation. The recent poor spell which ruined our play-off chances did not dent morale in any way which is great credit to our players whom we thank for their efforts over the season.
The address of the ground is: Larges Lane, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 9AN. There will be a sizeable crowd so best get there early if you want a parking spot.
