As we prepare for the 2026-27 Isthmian League South Central season, our latest look at one of the clubs we will play takes us to Raynes Park Vale.
Formed in 1995 by a merger of Raynes Park FC and Malden Vale, the club played in the Combined Counties League for their entire history until winning that League’s Premier Division South in 2022-23. Vale had finished third in 2021-22 but lost out in the play-offs. Promoted into the South Central Division, Vale have enjoyed three solid seasons at Step 4.
Prince George’s Playing Fields, the club’s home ground, previously hosted Isthmian League football between 1989 and 1994 while predecessor club Malden Vale were based there. When the new club was promoted to the Isthmian League they obtained significant grant funding which helped pay for new LED floodlights, turnstiles and fencing.
A ground-to-ground journey by road is 27.7 miles via the M25 and A3 and would take around three-quarters of an hour. Grand Drive is a short walk from Raynes Park Station; change at either Twickenham or Clapham Junction to pick up a train to Raynes Park.
Ashford have a strong historical record against Raynes Park Vale. All of the previous results are below:

Unusually, both clubs have staged a home match against the other at Cobham. Vale staged a Combined Counties League fixture against the Ash Trees at the Reg Madgwick Stadium in 2000 while Ashford’s defeat at Raynes Park’s hands in 2024 was one of the first of 19 home matches staged there during the redevelopment of the Robert Parker Stadium.
We look forward to Raynes Park Vale’s return to our humble home and hope you will join us for the game.
