Dean Greenwood steps down as First Team Manager

After two months in charge Dean has decided that his future lies on the coaching/assistant side which he loves dearly. And we wholeheartedly support his decision. We couldn’t be more thankful to him for stepping up after the departure of Luke Tuffs back in early January. His work has kept the continuity at the club along with the good atmosphere that was already building. During the past couple of months we have lost two of our strikers, including our top goalscorer, to league leading clubs, but Deano has brought in some good young players to help us look forward. His work has been hard but that’s testamount to the guy that he is.

The club are sad to see him step down, but we will still enjoy seeing him around the place. An absolute gentleman who wears his heart on his sleeve, as well as being a top coach within the non-league set up. Hopefully we will have him back coaching in the near future – after a well earned rest!

Dean’s recently appointed Assistant Manager Paul McCarthy will now take charge of the first team until the end of the season. We hope you will all join us in supporting Macca for the remaining games, and wishing him all the very best. His first game in charge will now be tomorrow night’s quickly arranged Surrey FA Senior Cup tie at home to Sutton Common Rovers. Come on you Tangerines!!
